London Riverside Church (the Church) has a Data Protection Policy as we recognise the right of people to keep their personal information private. This Privacy Notice covers the Church’s use of personally identifiable information that you provide and that we collect, store and use including when you browse our church website: www.londonriversidechurch.com. As such you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which, govern the Church’s relationship with you.

This policy explains how the Church and the website comply with the DPA (Data Protection Act), the General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR) which comes into effect on 25 May 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. We may update this policy upon the UK's exit from the European Union.
By providing your personal details you agree to allow the Church to contact you by mail, email, telephone and/or SMS text message in connection with its charitable purposes, either on the basis of the consents you have given us or for our legitimate interests in accordance with current data protection regulations.

CREDIT AND DEBIT CARD PAYMENT INFORMATION
When you make a donation to us online or over the phone, London Riverside Church ensures that this is done securely and in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. All credit or debit card details are entered directly into the Barclaycard Merchant Services and never recorded or stored in any of our systems on completion of your transaction.
WHO SEES YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell or pass any of your personal information to any other organisations and/or individuals without your express consent, with the following exceptions:
By providing us with your details you are giving the Church your express permission to transfer your data to our service providers including mailing houses, such as MailChimp, to enable fulfilment of the purpose for collection
Where such details are shared we have confidentiality agreements in place that restrict the use of your information to the purpose for which it is provided and ensure it is stored securely and kept no longer than necessary.

MARKETING PERMISSIONS
London Riverside Church share news about the church progress, upcoming events, projects, volunteering opportunities and prayer requests. This includes:
Email and text/SMS marketing:
We will ask for your permission to contact you by email or text for marketing purposes.
Postal marketing:
We will only send you marketing communication by post if you have given us permission to do so, this also includes correspondence such as Birthday greetings.
Telephone calls:
We will only make calls to you if you have given us permission to do so.

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA
London Riverside church will only keep your personal information for as long as it is required and in accordance with statutory requirements. For example, HMRC requires that we keep a record of your name, address and Gift Aid declaration for six years from the date of your last donation. Where the information is no longer required, we will ensure that it is disposed of in a secure manner.
If you have indicated that you do not wish to hear from us in the future, we will keep the minimum information necessary when legally required to do so.
