This Privacy Notice covers the Church’s use of personally identifiable information that you provide and that we collect, store and use including when you browse our church website: www.londonriversidechurch.com. By providing your personal details you agree to allow the Church to contact you by mail, email, telephone and/or SMS text message in connection with its charitable purposes, either on the basis of the consents you have given us or for our legitimate interests in accordance with current data protection regulations.

• Register for a London Riverside Church event or activity.

• Apply for a job to join our great team.

• Contact us with an enquiry.

• Complete a survey.

• Communicate with the Church by means such as email, letter, telephone.

• Provide your contact details, in writing or orally, to Church staff or volunteers.

• Purchase goods or services, including when you provide credit or debit card details.

NB: The Church does not hold any debit or credit card details for donations/payments made via our websites. All card payments are handled by service providers who encrypt card information. sent from this website.

• To determine and improve the effectiveness of our website, church activities, events and projects ongoing in the community.

• To improve our general ability to assist Church attendees and the wider community.

• To inform or register you for church services, relevant activities, resources and new projects.

• To establish and maintain your involvement with the Church, activities and events you have attended or supported, 

• To coordinate our volunteers rotas.

• For compliance with employment law and other statutory requirements.

• To reclaim tax on Gift Aid donations, if applicable.

CREDIT AND DEBIT CARD PAYMENT INFORMATION

When you make a donation to us online or over the phone, London Riverside Church ensures that this is done securely and in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. All credit or debit card details are entered directly into the Barclaycard Merchant Services and never recorded or stored in any of our systems on completion of your transaction. 

WHO SEES YOUR INFORMATION

 

We do not sell or pass any of your personal information to any other organisations and/or individuals without your express consent, with the following exceptions:
By providing us with your details you are giving the Church your express permission to transfer your data to our service providers including mailing houses, such as MailChimp, to enable fulfilment of the purpose for collection

Where such details are shared we have confidentiality agreements in place that restrict the use of your information to the purpose for which it is provided and ensure it is stored securely and kept no longer than necessary.

MARKETING PERMISSIONS

London Riverside Church share news about the church progress, upcoming events, projects, volunteering opportunities and prayer requests. This includes:

 

Email and text/SMS marketing:
We will ask for your permission to contact you by email or text for marketing purposes.

 

Postal marketing:
We will only send you marketing communication by post if you have given us permission to do so, this also includes correspondence such as Birthday greetings.

 

Telephone calls: 
We will only make calls to you if you have given us permission to do so.

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

London Riverside church will only keep your personal information for as long as it is required and in accordance with statutory requirements. For example, HMRC requires that we keep a record of your name, address and Gift Aid declaration for six years from the date of your last donation. Where the information is no longer required, we will ensure that it is disposed of in a secure manner.

If you have indicated that you do not wish to hear from us in the future, we will keep the minimum information necessary when legally required to do so.
